The Hellenes and Romans sure knew how to create and appreciate exceptional literature. So for all of you who are contemplating whether you should add some classics to your reading list, trust me, you should!
In the times of the ancient Greeks and the Roman Empire, literature was a prime source of entertainment. It was also used to explore new ways of thinking and philosophical expression. Just as we spend our idle days browsing the internet and checking our social media for new posts, they spent their days discussing philosophy, attending the theatre, and crafting works of art.
Thanks to the way they used of leisure time, we are now lucky enough to have all those masterpieces that give us a glimpse into the life, thoughts, feelings, and philosophical reflections of the ancient world.
Anyone looking to expand their horizons, learn something new, or find a better way to pass their time than scrolling through a newsfeed, should give ancient Greek and Roman literature a try. From romance to mythology, here is the must-read list from the ancient world:

  3. The things I learned from ancient Greek culture is that the Greeks had many prominent places of interest like the Imperial Palace, Saepta Julia, Circus Maxima, and the Imperial Fora. Also, their god like Zeus, Hera, Demeter, Hestia, Hades, Poseidon etc. and Greek legends like Prometheus that brought fire to mankind and the Greek government and who founded it. How the Spartans fought the Persians and won but the sacrifices they made, and the Roman and their arts.

  4. 3 thing that I have learned about ancient Greek and roman culture and democracy are, they built colosseum for gods they believed in. These colosseums were made with hammer and chisel for the designs. They made statues for the gods in these temples/colosseum's.
Athens and Sparta would make alliances to defeat the Persians. Sparta were one of the most dangerous warriors of their time. Sparta wanted freedom while the Persians enslaved and wanted to rule the world. although Spartans never showed mercy.

  5. i learned that The very first kinds of democracy started in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome. In Ancient Greece, democracy and politics were more related to the Athenian city-state– due to the fact that Sparta was more of a military dictatorship– than any other city-state in the region. also i think Greek mythology play a big role in how they were

  6. The 3 things I have learned about the ancient Greek culture is that they worshipped gods and made temples for them so people can pray and honor them and I also learned that they were the ones to make the idea of democracy and talked about politics. And what I learned about the romans culture is that they were good at architecture and the arts like literature and drawing.

  21. each religion has there own beliefs

people fight over religion for the same reason they fight over all other things. People believe that they are right in their own ideologies and cannot accept the ideologies of others. Outside of that, each religion has its own set of ideologies and interpretations.

  22. Most religions have the same sins like fornicating meaning not having sexual intercourse before marriage and not comiting adultery meaning having sexual intercourse with someone who is not your wife or husband.

Some humans fight over religion because they want to force it on everyone else so they can "pure" and be saved depending on the religion.

  23. A god that they worship

Cuz humans are weird things and think their way of thinking is correct

The reason why I think humans fight over religion is because each religion has different believes for the god they pray to and how to do.

    ReplyDelete
  31. • Religion has in common is a belief of a god and they worship them and have a community of people who do the same
    • Because they think their Gods is the supreme one and all the others are fake

    ReplyDelete
  32. think that most world religions have in common that no matter what they believe in a god or multiple gods

  35. Most world religions worship a god(s), have a holy book, prayer, rituals, religious leadership, place of worship, songs, donations, after life, and rules.

  39. The thing all religions have in common is that they both have there version of God. They also have their ways to worship and pray to there God and there version sins and or rules. The Reason that People fight about religion is that they disagree on what each other believes in.

  40. I think most world religions have in common is that they have a god. maybe not the same but they all have a higher power and they all pray.

    ReplyDelete
  41. What most religions around the world have in common is that most are "worshipping" the same person just in a different way with different rules.
Most humans fight over religion because most are loyal towards whom they are worshipping and in who they believe and once they realize that someone else that has a different religion they believe it is wrong and that it could be considered a sin to do something another religion does. They all insist that their way is correct and only their way .
